A POPULAR restaurant in Writtle has undergone a makeover and been rebranded after being bought up by a high street food business.
The change has seen Graham’s on the Green, switch names to Fulton’s on the Green.
After being acquired by Fulton’s Restaurants, the high street restaurant business of Graysons Hospitality Associates, the restaurant, which overlooks the green and duck pond in Writtle, closed for two days early in October for a brief refurbishment.
Restaurant bosses hope the backing of a big business will help it “take the local restaurant scene by storm”.
Simon Silvester, the restaurant’s chef director, said: “The concept is simple – we want to create an ambience of everyday dining with a sense of occasion for our guests and the kind of warm welcome that makes them feel like they’re visiting good friends.”
