A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital following a collision on the A12 between the Mountnessing roundabout and Margaretting junction.
The woman, thought to be in her 30s, was taken to Queens Hospital in Romford with suspected head injuries and hypothermia following the two vehicle collision which left one car on its roof and off the road just after 7am. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A second car also left the road in the same location approximately 30 minutes later.
The collision has meant traffic woe for drivers on the northbound side of the carriageway, with traffic stretching back to the Brook Street roundabout at the M25.
