A Chelmsford man has suffered facial injuries following an assault.
The man, in his 30s, was injured during an altercation between two men outside the Railway Public House in Hullbridge Road, South Woodham Ferrers, at about 10.45pm on Saturday.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Another man, aged 35 of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until May 26.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
