MEMBERS of Ashley Woolley’s family have expressed their delight that the blood donor campaign is getting more backing.

The campaign, which aims to encourage people to donate ten pints of blood in memory of Ashley Woolley, who died after being stabbed in December, now has the backing of Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Lindsay Whitehouse.

Ashley’s grandmother Iris Miles, 67, said: “This really has made something positive out of what happened to Ashley.

“It’s been wonderful to see so much support.

“It’s been really amazing to see.”

His aunt Emma Woolley, 35, added: “It’s really special as it’s like people are giving something of themselves to the cause.

“It’s wonderful and means so much to us all.”
