A man has been remanded in court custody in connection with various offences in South Woodham Ferrers.
Paul Spanswick, 45, of Guys Farm Road, South Woodham Ferrers, was arrested by officers from the Chelmsford and Maldon Community Policing Team on Saturday morning, May 21.
He was subsequently charged with ten offences of thefts from shop and one count of assault.
The offences took place in South Woodham Ferrers between March 17 and May 17 from stores including Asda and Spar.
Spanswick appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court this morning, Monday, May 23, and was remanded in custody until an appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 26.
