THESE stunning images were the winning entries in a photography competition run by Chelmsford City Council.
More than 350 pictures were submitted for the City Photography Competition, which were whittled down to a shortlist of 30, and the winners were announced at a ceremony at Chelmsford Museum on Monday night.
Mark Caldon's striking photo of a rainy evening near Chelmsford station, entitled 'Pink Umbrella', won the Cityscapes category, as well as the overall top prize.
In the Sports category, the winner was Anna Jones's equestrian-themed 'Carriage in the Water', while Christine Newbery's 'Vibrant Robin' took top spot in the Nature section.
The winners were decided by a panel including professional photographer John Byers, Peter Hallam of Going Digital, and the Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Patricia Hughes.
