Chelmsford Willows triumph in Woolpit cricket tournament
CHELMSFORD Willows Under-13 girls team secured a triumph at the Woolpit CC girls’ softball tournament.
The Willows finished top of their group at the seven-team tournament in Suffolk and went on to defeat Thriplow CC by five runs in the final. Chelmsford started their campaign with a 12-run win over North Suffolk CC in their pool.
That was followed up with a 25-run victory over the host club’s A team, before seeing off Melton Achilles to make the final.
The win completed a successful season for Chelmsford CC’s girls’s team as the under-11 won two trophies. Anyone interested in joining Chelmsford CC Willows should email adrian.tuff@gmail.com.
