CHELMSFORD City will be looking to build on the point they earned from their stalemate with leaders Ebbsfleet when they head to Bath City on Saturday.

Fleet stretched their lead at the top of the National League South table following the goalless draw but the Clarets were satisfied with the hard-earned point.

The visitors from Kent enjoyed a lot of pressure but were unable to beat Christian Dibble in the City goal as Ebbsfleet failed to capitalise on their chances.

Fleet had a Jordan Parkes goal disallowed for offside and Dibble pulled off a fine fingertip save to divert Danny Haynes’ free-kick round the post.

And Dibble pulled off a fine save from close range to stop Matt Godden scoring a late winner.

Seventh-placed Chelmsford head to the west country on Saturday knowing that a win over Bath will see them leapfrog their sixth-placed hosts in the table.
