Colchester United's under-23s played out their second successive draw following a stalemate with Sheffield United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium tonight.
A U's side featuring the likes of Owen Garvan, Macauley Bonne and Alex Wynter drew 0-0 with the Blades, in their latest Professional Development League Two match.
Bonne went close with a header for Colchester in the opening stages and Dion Sembie-Ferris saw a shot flash just wide from Garvan's assist and also tested Sheffield United keeper Aaron Ramsdale, as the sides went in level at the break.
Garvan almost made the breakthrough for Colchester early in the second half when his effort clipped the top of the crossbar and substitute George Brown also went close, as the hosts pushed for a breakthrough.
Bonne headed over from Brown's assist as the clock ticked down but neither side could find a winner, as Wayne Brown's team had to settle for another draw.
